Mohan's Graduation

My cousin called and asked me if I could go to Mohan's graduation ceremony to take pictures since I'm the camera guy for all family events. A group of us that included his two brothers, cousin, girlfriend and friends attended the ceremony. I was honored to hear a fantastic story told by Mohan's thesis adviser, which I quickly captured via my phone.

Attached below are two links to the speech from Mohan's thesis adviser:

Attached below are three pictures from his graduation ceremony:

Allow me to introduce myself...

Hello, my name is Anish and this is my 8th class in the MSPM program at Boston University. Currently, I'm employed as a sales representative for Merck pharmaceuticals since 2008. I worked internally in Lansdale, PA for two years before taking a field position in Northern New Jersey starting January 1, 2011.

On a personal note, I've been married for three years. We have no children and no pets, but plan on both in the near future. My hobbies consist of sports, reading (when not in class) and anything outdoors (when school allows).

You might be wondering my blog is titled 'Justice For Mohan,' right? Well, on Monday, May 9, 2011, a senseless act of cruelty traumatized my family. My first cousin, Mohan (We call him Binu), was violently murdered in North Philadelphia while visiting his girlfriend in her off campus apartment two blocks away from Temple University. The animal who did this is still on the loose and needs to be captured before he harms anyone else. I was ready to drop the class and help my family in our grieving process. However, I realized that I could use this class and blog to help capture the animal who murdered my little cousin.

Mohan was just 23 years old and was ready to graduate from Penn State University on May 13, 2011. His favorite color, purple, is the color I applied to the background of my blog in his honor. I attended his graduation ceremony to take pictures with his family and friends as they retrieved his diploma. He was so excited to finally complete college after working so diligently the past few years.

Attached is a story for you to read and a video that his friends created for their lost friend.

In loving memories of Mohan Varughese

Mohan is missed very dearly and the next two days are going to be extremely difficult for my family. Please keep us in your prayers.

I look forward to corresponding with everyone on my first blog!

Thank you,
Anish
